Epic Pass price goes up Nov 15: ski pass deadlines and the best luxury ski hotels for 2026 to 2027

Epic or Ikon for a luxury ski week

Pick the pass from the mountain, then check the holiday dates that pass blocks. A luxury week usually means five to seven ski days at one resort, with the hotel at the base. That is a different product from a pass built around two days at many resorts.

The Epic Pass product page says unlimited, unrestricted access at Vail, Breckenridge, Park City, and more. Beaver Creek is named on the Epic Local Pass page as a mountain with restricted peak dates, so it is an Epic mountain. Open the resort list on the Epic Pass page before you assume Beaver Creek is unlimited on the full pass. We are not reprinting a day count the full pass page did not print next to the Beaver Creek name.

Epic Local is the wrong default for this holiday week at those mountains. The same Epic Local page says the pass excludes access on 27 November 2026 to 28 November 2026, and on 26 December 2026 to 31 December 2026, at Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, and Stowe. It also lists 16 January 2027, and 13 February 2027 to 14 February 2027. Thanksgiving Friday and Saturday, and the days after Christmas through New Year's Eve, sit inside those blocks. On restricted dates the page says half price pass holder tickets are available at Park City and some other mountains, and an advance lift ticket rate is available at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Whistler Blackcomb. That is a ticket, not included skiing.

The Ikon Pass shop page lists Deer Valley, Aspen Snowmass, and Jackson Hole among its destinations, with a price from $1,529 USD for age 23 and older. The page does not, in the text we read, print a day count next to each of those three names. Confirm the day count on that site before you treat Ikon as a full week at Deer Valley, Aspen, or Jackson Hole. Arapahoe Basin, Copper Mountain, Steamboat, Winter Park, and Solitude are also on the Ikon Pass list we read.

Mountain Collective is two days at each partner resort, plus 50 percent off additional days, with no blackout dates on the homepage description. Some resorts require advance reservations. Aspen Snowmass and Jackson Hole are on the resort list. Deer Valley, Vail, Beaver Creek, and Park City Mountain were not on that list when we read it. Two included days, plus half price extra days, can work for a split trip. It is not the same purchase as seven included days at one hotel door.

A Denver sleep with one mountain day is a different trip again. Use Denver luxury hotels, flights to Denver, and the Denver weekend trip when the base is the city. The airport mountain coach is not a ski in, ski out hotel.

Ages 13 to 30 save 20 percent on an Epic Pass or Epic Local Pass, according to the 26 October 2026 Vail Resorts release. The product pages say age will be verified. Epic Friend Tickets from that release offer 50 percent off adult lift tickets and can be used for 25 percent off child lift tickets. Read the terms on epicpass.com. We are not reprinting an Epic Day Pass dollar price because the day pass product page did not give us a figure we are willing to freeze here.

Luxury ski in, ski out hotels

These are real hotels whose official pages we read on 27 Oct 2026. Each one states ski in, ski out access, or the resort lodging page states it for that hotel. This is not a ranking, not a rate, and not a statement that a room is free. There is no photo of any of these hotels on this page. Open the official website, then confirm the room, the fees, and the cancellation terms there.

Vail

The Arrabelle at Vail Square, 675 Lionshead Place, Vail, Colorado 81657. The hotel site prints that address. The Vail lodging page describes it as ski in, ski out at the Eagle Bahn Gondola, in Lionshead Village. The hotel site also says a covered escalator delivers guests to the mountain base, with the Eagle Bahn Gondola outside the door.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail is a real Vail Village hotel at One Vail Road. On the page we read, the hotel describes a chalet steps from Gondola One. It does not use the words ski in, ski out. It is not in the list above for that reason. Four Seasons Vail is the page to read if that location is the one you want.

Beaver Creek

The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch prints its address as 0130 Daybreak Ridge, Avon, Colorado 81620. The overview says guests enjoy ski in, ski out access in winter. Bachelor Gulch is on Beaver Creek ski mountain. It is not a hotel inside Beaver Creek Village. The page says the hotel does not provide an airport shuttle. It lists Eagle County Airport at 28 miles and valet parking at $60 a day. Those fee lines are the hotel's own, and they can change.

The Osprey at Beaver Creek, a RockResort. The Beaver Creek stay page calls it a ski in, ski out hotel at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain and says it is closer to a chairlift than any other lodge in North America. That closest claim is the hotel page's wording, not a measurement we made. The Fireside Grill page, inside the hotel, prints 10 Elk Track, Beaver Creek, Colorado 81620. A Vail Resorts lodging list prints 10 Elk Track Road, Avon, Colorado 81620. Use the stay page when you book, and ask which line the reservation uses. The stay page lists valet parking at $35 per night and says pets are not permitted.

Park City

Waldorf Astoria Park City, 2100 West Frostwood Boulevard, Park City, Utah 84098. The hotel page says Canyons Village offers ski in, gondola out access to Park City Mountain in winter, steps from the Frostwood Gondola. It also says a complimentary shuttle goes to Deer Valley. Check in is 4:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m. on that page. Park City Mountain's planned opening is 20 November, so this is the Park City base that matches an open mountain at Thanksgiving, if that opening holds.

Park City is the usual add on when the trip starts in Salt Lake City. The Winter Classic 2027 guide covers the 31 December 2026 game at Rice-Eccles Stadium, downtown and university hotels, and a Park City night. Use that guide for the city. Use this page for the pass and for mountains outside that add on. Fly into Salt Lake City only after you have read the airline's own schedule.

Deer Valley

Montage Deer Valley, 9100 Marsac Avenue, Park City, Utah 84060. The resort page says ski in, ski out access to Deer Valley, and the resort information page says the hotel is a two minute walk from the Empire and Lady Morgan lifts. Deer Valley's public opening is slated for 5 December 2026, conditions permitting. A Thanksgiving stay at this address is a hotel stay, not a ski day, unless Deer Valley opens earlier than that release. The homepage described a fourth night offer and resort credits when we read it. We are not reprinting those figures. Read the current offer on the hotel site.

Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley, 7700 Stein Way, Park City, Utah 84060. The contact page prints that address and a general inquiries phone of (435) 649-3700. The lodge homepage says guests experience direct to lift mid mountain access. The same page answers its ski access question by saying guests can step directly from the lodge to Deer Valley Resort. A Thanksgiving stay here is a hotel stay, not a ski day, unless Deer Valley opens earlier than the 5 December release. The homepage listed festive season and winter resort credit offers when we read it. We are not reprinting those figures.

Aspen Snowmass

The Little Nell, 675 East Durant Avenue, Aspen, Colorado 81611. The hotel calls itself a ski in, ski out hotel at the base of Aspen Mountain. Aspen Mountain's planned opening is 26 November 2026, which is Thanksgiving Day. The hotel phone on the page is (970) 920-4600.

Viceroy Snowmass, 130 Wood Road, Snowmass Village, Colorado 81615. The hotel page says it is the only ski in, ski out luxury resort in Snowmass, and that winter lodging there is ski in, ski out. That "only" line is the hotel's claim. Snowmass is planned to open 26 November 2026. The phone on the page is +1 970 923 8000.

Jackson Hole

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole, 7680 Granite Loop Road, Teton Village, Wyoming 83025. The guest page prints that address. The hotel facts page says the location is ski in, ski out, at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Jackson Hole lists opening day as 27 November 2026. The phone on the guest page is 1 (307) 732-5000.

Thanksgiving week, 26 to 29 November 2026

Thanksgiving Day is Thursday 26 November 2026, and the Sunday return is 29 November 2026, on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management holiday list. The flight and driving peaks for the holiday are on best days to fly Thanksgiving 2026. This section is only about whether the mountain is planned to be open.

• Likely ski days, if the opening dates hold. Vail is planned to have been open since 13 November. Park City Mountain is planned from 20 November. Beaver Creek is planned from 25 November, the day before Thanksgiving. Use the full Epic Pass if you need 27 and 28 November at Vail, Beaver Creek, or Park City. Epic Local excludes those two dates there.
• Opening day itself. Aspen Mountain and Snowmass are planned for 26 November, which is Thanksgiving Day. Jackson Hole lists 27 November, the Friday. An opening day is often a limited map. The resort pages we read did not promise a full mountain. Recheck the snow report that week.
• Not a ski day yet. Deer Valley is slated for 5 December, conditions permitting. Do not book Montage Deer Valley or Stein Eriksen Lodge for Thanksgiving week and expect the lifts outside the door to be running, unless a newer Deer Valley release moves the date.
• Still unscheduled. Arapahoe Basin and Keystone have not named a numbered opening day. They might be open by Thanksgiving. They might not. We will not guess.

For the hotel, Waldorf Astoria Park City matches a Park City Mountain opening before the holiday. The Arrabelle matches a Vail opening before the holiday. The Osprey and The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch match a Beaver Creek opening on the day before Thanksgiving. The Little Nell and Viceroy Snowmass match a 26 November opening. None of those sentences is a room hold.

Christmas to New Year

Christmas Day is Friday 25 December 2026. New Year's Day is Friday 1 January 2027. Both dates are on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management holiday list. By this week, every dated resort in the tracker above is planned to be open, if the dates hold. Deer Valley's 5 December public opening falls before Christmas. Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk are planned from 12 December. Kirkwood and Stevens Pass are planned from 4 December in the 18 August Vail Resorts release. That is the first holiday window in which a Deer Valley ski in, ski out hotel matches an open Deer Valley, conditions permitting.

Epic Local still blocks 26 December through 31 December at Vail, Beaver Creek, and Park City. Christmas Day, 25 December, is not on that restricted list. New Year's Eve, 31 December, is. If the week is Vail or Park City and you need the days after Christmas, the full Epic Pass is the product whose page says unrestricted access at Vail and Park City. If the week is Deer Valley, Aspen Snowmass, or Jackson Hole, confirm the Ikon day count, or use Mountain Collective's two days plus half price extra days at Aspen Snowmass or Jackson Hole. We do not publish a holiday hotel rate. Inventory is tight because the dates are tight, which is a reason to read the cancellation rule, not a reason for us to invent a price.
