Walk South Congress early for murals, indie shops, and breakfast tacos from well-known SoCo spots (confirm open hours). If you’re at a South Congress boutique, you’re already in the scene.
Afternoon
Lady Bird Lake trail or a lakeside hotel pool. Downtown is a short ride for the Capitol or Rainey Street later — don’t force both into one hot afternoon. East Austin is an optional creative detour if you prefer neighborhood texture.
Evening
